New Beginning..

There have been so many changes going on in our lives, that its taken me this long to start this new blog. My hope is to take the time to at least blog every week. I have a tendency to immerse myself in many art projects some of which are for me and my enjoyment and some of which benefit others. You  will soon see what I mean once I start posting these projects. 

I say that I have "artistic ADD" mainly because I'm all over the place with my art projects.

There are projects that are annual projects, like Halloween! Its not just about making the decorations but there's the costumes too. I don't stick to one style or method of doing things, that would be like sticking to one set emotion for everything we face in life! But I will say that even with so much advance notice and a due deadline on the horizon, I seem to always fall on the same trap of doing things at the last minute. It isn't on my part of procrastination that I fall on this last minute trap! Oh no, other forces beyond my control are at hand. What, you might wonder? Well typically its my daughter who's always changing her mind about what she wants to be that year for Halloween. I'm not the kind of mom that runs to the local Walmart, or Target to get a quick and easy costume..oh no! I like to live dangerously and put all the pressure of making the costume myself. Cost effective..Ha! You can't put a price on originality! Sometimes it's impressively low cost, sometimes its not.
The reason I do it? To enjoy the challenge. To go through my crazy creative process that always threatens to send me over the deep end. There's always some collateral damage that is absorbed by the explosion that occurs in the dining room and spreads sometimes to the living room (some projects have too many working part 😁). Ah but when its all said and done, its so worth the final result!
